HAPPY NEW YEAR: Updates from IEi for 2011

It's a brand new year that holds new promise and a refreshed energy however it leaves no time for relaxing and kicking back.  Robb and the entire Infinity Events team is working on many new exciting projects for 2011.

ROBB ASKED TO SPEAK AT ISES-OC JANUARY 18 MEETING

A Survival Kit for 2011:  Trends in business and the business of trends
Working in a creative industry can be exciting and fulfilling however without the skills to manage a fiscally efficient business, your business will be very short lived.  In this session, you will walk away with a few tips on how to have your “fiscally creative cake” and eat it too.

Event Producer and owner of Infinity Events Inc, Robb Thornsberry will share his tips on how he has managed a successful full service event company with no initial capital or investors while delivering innovative and award nominated events for the past 9 years.

In this session you will walk away with the following tips:
Managing your business with efficiency
Negotiating with vendors and leveraging their skills
Trends in business technology
Trends in event design, lighting and entertainment that deliver huge results without breaking the bank

By taking back much of the responsibility of business ownership such as marketing, accounting and sales and not sourcing this out, you will not only operate with little to no overhead but you will truly appreciate your accomplishments and success far more.

MPI ORANGE COUNTY SPEED NETWORKING EVENT ON JANUARY 12 AT PRETEND CITY

Join MPIOC for one of our most popular annual events – SPEED NETWORKING!  This is an opportunity to create new business alliances, save time and increase productivity and revenue for all participants.

The uniqueness of PRETEND CITY lends itself exceptionally well to our goal of providing a variety of settings for planners and suppliers to discuss business opportunities in a manner where they can be heard, understood and speed on to the next. PRETEND CITY has many twists, turns and creative alcoves where we will feature several different style set-ups for you to discuss your new partnerships.

HOW IT WORKS – Planners remain stationary, set comfortably for the duration of the networking time where they may interact with suppliers.  Every 3 – 5 minutes, suppliers will be cued to move on to the next planner.  Suppliers will have pre-printed questions that are both fun and business related to keep the dialogue moving in a productive manner.

BENEFIT TO PLANNERS – This event is a way for you to save time meeting suppliers with whom you will do business and to also quickly and warmly inform those with whom you will not be able to do business.  How many emails and voicemails from suppliers do you receive on a daily basis?  You can ease your guilt of not getting back to them and see that number go down exponentially after one evening of SPEEED NETWORKING.  You can give a simple YES or NO and in a matter of minutes you will be setting yourself up for increased office productivity.

BENEFIT TO SUPPLIERS – How many messages and voicemails do you leave that go unanswered?  Now is your chance to talk to those planners and find out if your business has the possibility of being a perfect match for their needs.  This will also save suppliers time and increase productivity.  This will help suppliers focus on business that works rather than wasting time with incessant message-leaving to planners who are unable to partner.  In a short time you will find answers to seemingly unanswerable questions and forge pathways to increased revenue for your business.

INFINITY EVENTS produces the ultimate Welcome To OC Event

On January 6, IEI president, Robb Thornsberry produced the opening night event for 1200 attendees of The Special Event Conference & Tradeshow.  Although this is a typical event for many Anaheim conventions, these were not your typical convention attendees and this was not your typical welcome reception. Attendees of this event were other event professionals from around the world who have seen it all, so impressing them would not be an easy task.  This would require a venue that no one has ever seen before.  Since building a new venue would not be an option, Robb approached The Anaheim Garden Walk, a nearby outdoor shopping mall that had plenty of space and was within walking distance of the convention center or a brief 2 minute shuttle ride.  The challenge was to create an event that had to impress in a venue that has never been used as an event venue before. Utilizing two levels, in the back portion of the shopping center that sees very little foot traffic was transformed

SOKA University of America 12th Annual Peace Gala

The Peace Gala and Fundraiser is a time honored tradition at Soka University. All proceeds from the gala benefit the Soka University Scholarship Endowment fund. Infinity Events was selected to produce this year's gala which took place on October 8, 2016. and used the beauty of the SUA campus and Soka's core values of Hope and Peace as the inspiration for design which focused on transforming the SUA Recreation Center into a utopian landscape of a lush green field beneath a sky of blue and white clouds. This very special evening is kicked off at  SUA's beautiful two-story, 8,000 square foot Founders Hall Art Gallery which served as the location for event registration, cocktail reception and silent auction. Following the cocktail reception and silent auction, guests make their way to the SUA Recreation Center for dinner, live auction and entertainment. It was important that the look and feel of this space not only WOW each guest but to also capture the essence of SU

Entertainment With An Edge!!!

What to do when you've done it all?  Need to spice up the same ole same ole?  Need to make sure your limited budget can deliver an impact?  GO TO EXTREMES! Below is an entertainment concept that you just don't see everyday.  What better way to ensure your event is memorable and have your guests talking about it for months to come than to give them something they've never seen before. AeroTek AeroTek is an outdoor, aerial and stilt movement spectacle. Featuring five acrobats on stilts rolling into backbends, splits, and a myriad of sculptural forms, AeroTek stretches one's perception of the human body. Strutting and dancing, suspended and flying the performers’ pincer-like metal legs slice the air as they spin and swim like fencers in a seas, barely missing each other in their fervent exploration of their metal home. Shedding layers of armor, the acrobats slowly transform from superhuman warriors to fragile nymphs balancing high above the audience, hanging precari
