MPI Orange County Looks to Inspire Its Members in 2014-15

The new 2014-15 MPIOC chapter President, Robb Thornsberry shared with the members his vision and thoughts on how he and the rest of the board hope to inspire each member over the next 12 months.

  • To inspire members to take risks, to step outside of their comfort zone and open their minds to new ideas, new innovations and new progressive, forward thinking industry trends that will begin to define our industry and where it is headed.
  • To inspire members to become more engaged and invest their time so that they may see a return on their financial investment.
  • To inspire members to take a step back and experience MPI not only at a local level, but on global level and to make them aware of the thousands of resources and tools that are available to them as members that they may not have ever been aware of.

Thornsberry closed the evening by reminding the guests that "this is your MPI" and without your support, MPIOC will not be successful".

With a large base of planner members in the MPIOC chapter from companies such as Allergan, Arbonne International, Epson America, Inc., Experian, Ingram Micro, Kawasaki Motors Corp USA, Pacific Life and The Boeing Company (to name a few), these vast array of meeting planning professionals have much to bring to the table. However, don’t ignore the equally powerful supplier members like Hilton International, Hyatt International, Marriott International, Disney, Associated Luxury Hotels International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. MPIOC is a beneficial association bringing both planners and suppliers together.

Whether you are new to the meetings & events industry or are a seasoned professional, MPIOC offers a wide variety of education, networking and business growth opportunities. Join MPIOC at one of their next chapter events to see how you can take your career to new heights
