URBAN PLAYGROUND

On January 9-12, 2017, over 4000 event professionals from around the world coverged in Long Beach for The Special Event conference and tradeshow. Urban Playground was the concept for the final night event and reflected the "where the STREET meets the BEACH" culture that Long Beach is known for.

Included were references to iconic Long Beach landmarks such as Grand Prix, The Pike, downtown, Aquarium of The Pacific & Shoreline Park however with a distinct EDM (electric dance music) influence.

INSPIRE THE WORLD

The Peace Gala and Fundraiser is a time honored tradition at Soka University. All proceeds from the gala benefit the Soka University Scholarship Endowment fund.

Infinity Events was selected to produce this year's gala which took place on October 8, 2016. and used the beauty of the SUA campus and Soka's core values of Hope and Peace as the inspiration for design which focused on transforming the SUA Recreation Center into a utopian landscape of a lush green field beneath a sky of blue and white clouds.

LA VIE EN COULEUR

What is La Vie en Couleur?

La Vie en Couleur "Life In Color" was designed to be an evening where not only did guests experience Life In Color, but also where "Color Came To Life"!

This evening celebrated the Avant Garde, the Artistic Visionaries and those willing to take risks and unafraid to push the envelope.

There was an unapologetic rush of sensory overload from the moment the guests arrived as they experienced Parisian "Punk" Couture and over the top opulence all while sipping cocktails The garden of Crystals and Color cocktail Lounge.

Inspired by Andy Warhol, this event celebrated those who were willing to "think different, be unique and to live "La Vie en Couleur"!

OC STYLE

On January 6, 2015,  IEI president, Robb Thornsberry produced the opening night event for 1200 attendees of The Special Event Conference & Tradeshow.  Although this is a typical event for many Anaheim conventions, these were not your typical convention attendees and this was not your typical welcome reception.

Attendees of this event were other event professionals from around the world who have seen it all, so impressing them would not be an easy task.  This would require a venue that no one has ever seen before and building a new venue was not an option.

The Anaheim Garden Walk, is a nearby outdoor shopping mall that had plenty of space and was within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center.  The challenge was to create an event that had to impress in a venue that has never been used as an event venue before.

Utilizing two levels, in the back portion of the shopping center that sees very little foot traffic was transformed into a multi-level, multi-sensory experience that depicted the culture and style of the OC.

As guests traveled along the event's "freeway to fun" they encountered 5 iconic cities and environments that best depict the Orange County lifestyle and culture.

Lounges..."The New Event Frontier"

Swan Ice Carvings, Balloon Arches, Western Theme Parties...Although none of these words are in the Infinity Events vocabulary, they were at one time the "IT" special event trends.  Now the new "IT" must have are lounges at events.  This has been a trend for a while and is showing no signs of leaving anytime soon. With events focusing less on props and more on functional environmental design, lounges can serve many different purposes such as comfortable and stylish seating that help initiate social settings.  Often times instead of complimenting the decor, they ARE the decor and lounges can transform any room or space into an ultra "seen or be seen" hip night club. Below are just a few Lounge/Club ideas previously seen at many IEi client events.

GETTING MORE WITH LESS. Budgets May Have a "Ceiling"...Creativity Doesn't

The federal government is learning the hard way, what the event industry has already known for a few years now and that is it's time to get creative and figure out how to make do with less. While this is not a new concept, those who are not able to grasp it often react with a "knee jerk" approach and cancel anything that is perceived to be expensive.  It is the easiest task in the world to produce greatness with unlimited funds however it takes a little ingenuity and creativity to still deliver results when the funds are not there. Thankfully with a paper clip, dental floss and a dixie cup you can "MacGyver" your way to amazing results in event design. Below are a few events we have produced over the past few years that have had budgets of $35,000 or less for groups of 400 or more.  This budget has had to include the following: Decor - Linens, centerpieces, stage decor, perimeter Lighting Entertainment Audio Visual - Sound, video, projection Multi-med...
